(UPDATED) I am having SEVERE pain in my lower right side, right by my hip
Any ideas what could be causing this. It has been like this for 2 days now...constantly 
UPDATE - so i went to urgent care and they sent me for a Cat scan (I had to drink some nasty stuff and then they injected dye into me through an IV)
They said my appendix was fine, no cysts or fluid (indicating a ruptured cyst). the doctor did say I have a few cysts on my liver but nothing to be concerned about

I can never remember what side the appendix is on, but maybe you should go to the doctor. Severe pain for 2 days should not be ignored.

I can never remember what side the appendix is on, but maybe you should go to the doctor. Severe pain for 2 days should not be ignored.

Could be a cyst, appendix or something else - if you have severe pain for two days I would go asap to the dr.

this happened to me and i had a HUGE cyst and they did emergency surgery to get it out.....good luck

when was your last period? and, did you happen to have a c-section?
Because I had the same thing a few months after DD and have had it on and off since she was born- same thing, intense pain, couldn't stand up straight, went to ER, had cat-scan, IV and they found nothing...
I think I have adhesions from my c-section that cause pain during ovulation.

My pain is still there, but definitely better than before
hmmm- the first time it happened to me it was a week before and I think it was still me ovulating and I had a screwy cycle w/ a short LP.... That isn't something, I don't think, that would show up on a cat-scan- if it was an adhesion (meaning scar tissue from your section attached itself to something else- which happens more than they lead you to believe).
I've had internal sonograms while this pain was happening and they could find nothing. Doc said it was probably "scar tissue" aka adhesions- and there was nothing they could do to confirm except do exploratory surgery.
Since having my DD (who is 22 months old) I have had this type of intense pain at least 12-15 times...
Keep track of your cycle and see what happens next month.... if it shows up again around the same exact time, it has to do w/ your cycle.
the only thing that helps me is 3 advils (yes, 3.. the only thing that does the trick)- jjust make sure you eat something w/ it or you'll blow out your stomach.
