Updated with Birth Story (very long - sorry!)
With our two little baby girls!!!!  
Born: Friday, October 27
5 lbs. 3 oz. 19 inches
5 lbs. 4 oz. 18 inches
I will update later on in the week with my birth story and LOTS more pictures. (Can you tell I am already a proud mommy???) I threw a bunch in an album so click to see our little bundle of joys!
Thanks for all the well wishes - I was thinking of you girls and glad pinky let everyone know i was in labor. Friday started off as the worst day of my life and ended up by far the most amazing day. I am so in love and DH and I already cannot imagine these little girls not in our lives!!! 
BFing and bottle feeding twins every 3 hours and after coming off of 3 months on bed rest I am super busy right now! I'll update later in the week - hope all of you girls are feeling well and getting ready for the most amazing time of your lives!!!

My birth story:
As some of you may remember I was diagnosed with Cholestasis 2 weeks ago - and so the high risk doctor had been monitoring my amniotic fluid, so I basically knew after any appt. I could be sent to the hospital - I did not think it would happen like this though...
On Friday, October 27 my sister took me to my appointment because DH was getting the car seats installed (of all appts for him to have missed). We went in and after 25 minutes the technician didn't detect any breathing or movement on either of the twins (I came to find out why later). So they tell me to wait for the report and to go right to the hospital for prolonged monitoring. I was a hysterical mess. By the time we got to the hospital DH and our families were already there.
At 1 PM they have me hooked up for a NST and bring in the sono machine to see if they can detect any movement. Luckily after lots of poking and proding - they do. That hour or two was the longest period of my life and made every other problem seem so insignificant!
About 4 PM they say they want to give me an amnio to see if the lungs are develpled - a) I've never heard of that and b) uhm no way! I was already 36w1d. One of the residents says let's give her an internal - so they do - and I'm 5 CM!!!!  (So this is why the babies weren't moving - I had been in labor and babies are in a calm state like that when you are!!) I turn to DH and say "Today's they day!"  I couldn't believe I made it to 5 cm and had no idea- I had been having Braxton Hicks but I'd been having those for weeks so who knew?!
They fully admit me and check me again right away and now I'm 6 cm with no real contraction in sight - great I'm thinking this is easy! I am sitting in bed calling some friends telling them I'm in labor. By the time I got to 7 cm no one could believe I didn't feel any contractions or pain. But then I started to - in my back, back labor. But when DH rubbed my back it was ok. For 1 1/2 hours I was having back labor and debating the epi. I was going to try and tough it out but all the doctors and nurses talked me into it - 2 things though the anesthesiologist says - side effect may be itching (and for those of you who remember I had been itching for 2 months straight so I didn't want that) and it may not relieve back pain. So great- what do I do? Figured let me try = so I get it and it was great- really no pain at all and I felt great.
My OB came back in another 1 1/2 hours later and said I hadn't progressed past 8 cm so they were calling for a c-section b/c my uterus had become groggy (whatever that meant).
They roll me in for my c and I started shaking (transition I guess, I was probably at 10 then). Oh well. I was trembling and freezing - they eventually got me to stop but somehow my arm fell asleep and I felt like I was going to pass out during the entire procedure - I kept saying to DH to talk to me b/c I could not miss the birth of my babies!
I could not feel anything at all - I guess the epi helped. I hear the doctor say "We're making the incision into the uterus" - I said to DH this is it! They yelled It's a girl and I almost rolled off the table. After only looking at boy clothes and bedding for the past 9 months I just couldn't believe it! Then they yelled its another girl and I really almost fell over! I couldn't believe I was blessed with two daughters!
Turns out "Twin B" had the cord wrapped around her neck so there would have been an emergency c-section anyway so I am glad I didn't make the doctor wait to let me push "Twin A" out! That was my biggest fear- having to recover from both.
To make a long story short- I am allergic to codeine (which they knew) - they gave me Percoset with it in there and I was puking through my entire 6 hour recovery. Every time they brought the girls to me to feed I couldn't b/c I was getting sick. By the next day though I was able to.
So that's my story- we are incredibly sleep deprived but absolutely in love with the girls. DH is the best daddy and so supportive. We have little nicknames for them already and are already planning their first birthday trip and tons of other things we want to do with them. We said we feel like they've always been with us. We are so blessed and so thankful every day for these bundle of joys...And can't wait to (eventually  ) do this again!!!

Laura, CONGRATULATIONS on your GORGEOUS baby girls! I am soo happy for you and your DH After a tough pregnancy I am thrilled that your little babies are here, safe & sound
(and for the record I thought you were having a boy and a girl soo again - I'm wrong  )
