UPDATED with DECISION! vote for the paint color I should choose
I have everything ready to go for my bedroom redo, but Im still going back and forth on paint. We've narrowed it down to four samples....what do you think?
Bedding is this, its a spiced rust color, not red.
Furniture is white.
I gave in and decided even though I didnt want to do another brown, that I knew in my heart is really was the right color to go with.
So the final decision after 8 samples....is:
Cowboy Boots by Valspar
the runner up was #2 brown - boston legacy
THANKS EVERYONE FOR YOUR HELP!

Re: OK, vote for the paint color I should choose
ok, im going to be completely honest. i dont think i like any of these choices based on the bedding you posted. maybe the colors are 'off' on the monitor but i think the orangey/rust walls will take away from the GORGEOUS bedding. JMHO. sorry! i would do something that compliments the bedding, not as matching.. maybe a soft mocha color? especially since the furniture is white.. you can go a little darker on the walls.

ooo i know how you feel! we just paintde our entire house and i feel like every color was neutral so i went with a RED accent wall in the guest room, blue master and our bathroom is similar to the colors you posted. i LOVE it.. i just dont want you to take away from the WOW effect the bedding gives off.. how about yellow?? eta: out of those 4, i pick brown clay!

LOL, believe it or not, I tried yellow too, I had a few in the samples, and it looked HORRID, despite how it looked in my head. Im so torn. I wanted to orginally go with an orange but decided it was TOO much color. Then I agree with you, that a brown was the way to go, but I didnt want to do a brown again, so I thought Id look from browns with oranges in them. UGH! This is the hardest bedding to coordinate with!!!

This may sound insane... but would you consider a green color? I feel like a sagey or olivey green would look amazing with that bedding. I honestly love the bedding, and I love those paint colors, just not together. If I had to pick one it would be #4.

Re: OK, vote for the paint color I should choose - pic update so you can better see paint with the bedding
i picked the darker oranges bear claw and I forgot the other one. But I really can't say I love the orange with the bedding. I would let the bedding be the focal point in the room, and use a color that complements it. I feel like the bedding and the paint are competing to be the focal point. JMO

this is hard! What color would you do? Im trying really hard to not do a taupe or mocha color.

Dude - it's only paint.
I was torn between bear claw and brown clay but in the end picked brown clay b/c it's just a bit lighter.
Go with your gut!!!!!!!!! Paint it orange-y brown - you've had this color scheme before and it looked GREAT! Trust yourself - you have good instincts!!!
It's going to look good.

honestly not loving any of the paint colors. agree with a pp, it is competing with the bedding.
are you definitely looking for a warmer color on the walls? which element of the room do you want to pop? the bedding? furniture? or the wall?

I like the yellow and green choices. I also think a light blue would look great esp. with the white furniture.

I don't like any of the colors with this bedding but did you consider a chocolate brown color? Like a nice rich brown color with white accents? I just read that your furniture is white. I think brown would look beautiful!

Thanks Everyone.
Im not really looking for the bedding to pop necessarily, I like the tone on tone look. I appreciate all the feedback, its given me a lot to consider!

Re: OK, vote for the paint color I should choose - pic update so you can better see paint with the bedding
I like the Brown Clay. I make the walls brown clay and the headboard white. I hope this helps you decide. If you have Paint on your computer, play around with the colors on the wall. Have fun and GL. I think they are all great colors, but I'm thinking this lighter brown clay would look really nice. Do you have a picture of the actually bedding so we can see the color of the red?

Re: OK, vote for the paint color I should choose - pic update so you can better see paint with the bedding
Here's my opinion....I would go with a brown color on two walls and then if you are set on the orange do that on 2 walls... i would chose the roasted squash...I think an all orange room is going to be TOO colorful. In our room, we just did a chocolate brown on 2 and turquoise on 2 walls and it looks amazing!

Re: OK, vote for the paint color I should choose - pic update so you can better see paint with the bedding
I picked bear claw.
I would a darker orange color, something with more brown in it.
I would also do the wall where the bed will be on, in a rich chocolate brown and then the other 3 walls in orange.
I really think if you that bright of an orange you might have a hard time relaxing in there, plus you might always be hungry. I had a cranberry room once and I never ever felt relaxed in it.
You could also do the reverse and do 3 deep chocolate brown walls and then an orange wall.

Actually, Karen's idea reminded me of one of the "kids" rooms in the new HGTV dream house. Turquoise walls on all sides but has orange fabric accents. Here's a picture:
you could do a single accent wall (or two of each) in a different color.

I like the squash, but how about a silvery color liek in the bedding picture, or a blue or green for contrast.
Yellow could work, but yellows are so hard to choose.

thats the colors I would suggest. but your not looking for the bedding to be the focal point so go with what you love!! its your room and you have to love it Post pics when you do it I can't wait to see it!
