I just bumped this -- cause I went to the haunted house that the OP was talking about -- based on her posting it here...and wanted to say....
This was no haunted house...it was a pure experiment in terror and mind games. The most original place I've ever been to, and it is NOT at all for everyone. I can understand why people would ask to be removed from the house within the first 2 min.
Its pitch black, you have a teeny tiny flashlight that is more like the kind you put on your key chain and its practically dying....and people push you from behind and then when you are spun around -- a sack is placed over your head and you are grabbed from behind like you are being kidnapped and a raspy voice says in your ear that you BETTER NOT F***ING MOVE and they make you go up steps..down steps and then chain you---yes CHAIN you to a block while they totally mess with you and you are standing there helpless to do anything.
And that's just the first 3 minutes!
And then what happened!? This is sick and fun all at the same time
I can live vicariously thru you guys.. I would throw up in there from being so scared..

Well during the time they mess with you -- you have a surgical mask on plus the sack over your head -- and people are touching you and really messing with your head. Whispering in your ear---i felt someone nibbling on my ear thru the mask -- cold steel being dragged across my arm and fingers---hands going up my pant legs---people RIGHT in my face blowing into it and just general crazy.
They then lead you away and take the cover off your head and tell you to follow the instructions and you have to keep walking in the mostly darrk -- and some ppl jump out at you and such.
Then you have to crawl on your hands and knees thru a hallway of garbage bags around you and you are freaking thinking someone is gonna grab you and kind of feels like something is coming after you.
When you get to what you think is the final room -- a weird guy who is dressed like the girl from THe Grudge is there rocking back and forth--you try and open a door. Nope--doesn't open....its paclocked shut. Guess who has the key?
You have to get the key from the weird dude who is ALL UP in your face and grabbing you and when you take it off his wrist -- his creepy high pitched voice turns into this really deep and raspy voice telling you to hurry up and put the key in the HOLE!
I jumped out of that doorway like a bat out of hell. It was too crazy for words to describe how I felt at the end!

I love Haunted houses But H e l l Nooo will i be doing that!!! I think i would hyperventalate, I'm calstaphobic and i dont think i would be able to handle that!!

ok. i just read this post for the first time. Girls i went to Schmits farm on sat and went thru the CHILDS haunted house and was almost crying. LOL> i would never ever ever make it thru this. and if by some chance i did make it To the end to see that guy dressed up like the girl in the grudge, that would have been the end for me. literally. nope cant even think of it. LOL.

It's a hike but, there is one in PA, near bloomsburg. It's called the Haunted Fire House and it scared me more than other one I have EVER been too. It's in Elysburgh by Knoebles.
ETA: Omg I just read about the one in the city and I am sick. NEVER!!!!!!!!!
