DS is a GREAT sleeper, he really is... but he has had some MAJOR trouble this past week. Now he is up in his room crying for 15 minutes, hard. What do I do? Go to him? Start this CIO thing all over again??? What do I do?
So, DS just climbed out of his crib himself. Now what do I do? He's 19 months old.... Help me...

Put him in his crib and tell him it is time for bed. Walk out of the room. Let him cry for 5 min. Walk back in lay him down without talking to him...let him cry for 10 min. Basically just keep laying him back down and keep adding on 5 min. before you go back in.
Is he teething or not feeling well? Anyting different this week that could have upset him?
ETA: If he started climbing out of this crib it is time to convert it to a bed for him or put him in a bed? That might help as well. he might not like the crib anymore.

So, how do I convert a 19 month old that is only used to putting himself to sleep in his crib to sleep in a big boy bed? Do you have any suggestions?

You read him bedtime stories in his new big boy bed. I found it easier to get him to sleep in his own bed than his crib.
I know some parents that had gates on their room but the kids climbed over them. After finding their 2 year old downstairs in the kitchen at 3am (climbed out of the crib & two gates), they gave up - child proofed the house & set up monitors.
For us, we turned off all of the lights except for a nightlight. He wouldn't get out of bed in the dark. He would call us from his room.

It's just so hard. This kid will/would ONLY sleep in his crib, sometimes with a little fussing, sometimes none. But now he won't stay in there to save our lives. I am so tired and REALLY feel like I could lose it at any minute right now.

Well, figure it this way: at some point he would have to be moved out of his crib. He won't be 16 years old in the crib. Just a little adjustment period after his big boy bed, then it should all be good. Then again, I haven't gone through this myself, so I can just offer hugs.

Ok, I'm sweating, I'm crying, I'm shaking, BUT he is asleep after a LONG time of stand up, lay him back down and listen to his screaming/crying. Good night. This is SO not the fun part of being a mommy!!!
