Re: Updates
Me: 35 (36 October 1) DH: 38 in July Diagnosis: PCOS, not overweight but many of the other characteristics No children yet I'm on my second RE. First REtook 4 rounds of Clomid to get me to ovulate. Two failed IUIs. Because of my long cycles I was there for 8 months. Second RE. I have two friends who have a total of 5 children as a result of going to him. Put me on the right meds for me. One Failed IUI, had last IUI yesterday. Hoping this is it.
ETA: As of July 13 we are on our first, and hopefully LAST, round of IVF. I started stimming last Saturday and have been in the doctor's office every morning this week except one. With PCOS, I'm responding to the meds very well... so well that they have lowered the Follistum the last two days from 150 to 100 to 50 last night.
Should have the retrieval early next week. Because I'm a teacher and have off for the summer I'm planning on 5 days of bedrest after. I know they say only two but I want to maximize my chances. I know a woman who did 5 and she was pregnant with triplets Don't worry they are only putting two eggies in me.
TTC 16 months.

updated: 7/12/06
me: 36 DH: 32 Ectopic (non tubal)2004- Lap/DNC/shot of Methatrexate
Diagnosis: Fibroids (but Doc related not an issue-no need for surgery)
Questionable hydro (one re suggest it is blocked and another suggest it is pressure from the fibroid)???? My new RE related that my hydro was so small he could barely see it. He advised that surgery is not needed.
PCOS
Hypothyroid (.50 synthroid Immune testing- ATA positve (anti-bodies for my thyroid).
Next Course of Action: IVF- But, we do not have IF insurance so we are trying to figure it out

Re: Updates
me: 32 DH: 30
We have a 2 yr old son conceived naturally on our 4th month of trying so never in a million years did I ever think it would take me this long to conceive again. We are entering our 17th month of trying for #2.
I was diagnosed with borderline PCOS about 9 months into it. and was told it was a fluke that we even had gotten pregnant in the first place.
I took 1500 of metformin for about 6 mos and still nothing so this cycle I am starting 50mg clomid to increase my chances. I am also being monitored by my RE to see if I do indeed ovulate.

Re: Updates
me: 34 dh: 35
one miscarriage last year-cause unknown. endometriosis.
tried to conceive for a few months after that but then discovered that dh and i both carry genetic traits for a blood disorder. immediately moved to IVF so that we could get PGD to test the embryos and try to avoid having a baby born affected.
just had retrieval on sunday, embryos were being biopsied (PGD) today and hopefully will be getting them transferred on friday. praying for a bfp.
best to all

Re: Updates
Me: 28 soon DH: 28 Diagnosis: PCOS Started with Metformin to ovulate. It worked, but I still had late ovulations and short LPs. Then it was on to clomid which hyperstimulated my ovaries, causing much discomfort. Went for my first visit to LI IVF. My new course of action next month is to take half a clomid pill a day for only 4 days and be monitored. Get a hormone shot if I don't ovulate early enough. Have a PCT and progesterone test. See where we stand with the new info at the the end of August. I have the feeling the PCT is going to indicate we'll need an IUI.
Actively TTC for 4 months.

Re: Updates
Hi all -
Hope everyone is doing well. I'm seeing a lot of new names - I hope you all have a short stay on this board
After an IVF cycle in March that was a BFN I've been on an extended break for emotional and financial reasons
I have some ideas of my next steps and will probably do a cycle in the fall
