Uploading a video to facebook...
Does anyone know how to upload a video to facebook without it taking 3+ hours? Is it just the speed of your computer/interenet or is there something I can do? Its about 7 mins. long.

You could upload it to YouTube then post the link on FB.

Im trying that now and its saying 3+ hrs for youtube as well. Is this the norm or is my internet just really slow?

7 minutes is a pretty long video. i wouldnt be surprised if it takes a few hours. i know sometimes (depending on the quality of the video) it can take me 30 mins to upload a video under 1 minute long.

It's probably a really big file, you don't need it to be that big for youtube or facebook... and they scale them down anyway when you upload. When I uploaded my video (a little over 4 mins long) to youtube from iMovie I had a few options on how big I wanted it to be... just do at least 320x420 or larger and it will be big enough without being pixelated. I think I did mine at 720 or something and it took only 15 mins to upload.

Depends on speed of internet, size of download (aka quality and length).
But if it says the same time for both Youtube and Facebook, I would think its just your connection and the file.
I've NEVER had a 3hr wait but we usually get pretty fast service. I have uploaded a 10min video that took about a half hour to upload. I try to keep most of her vids to under 2mins.
Hence I have over 100 now of her!

Thanks Ladies... its her 1st birthday slideshow that I did. I played it at her b-day on the projector and everyone really enjoyed it.
Unfortunately my DH's parents (DD's grandparents) are overseas in Egypt and the only way they can see it is to share through facebook. Ill try again,thanks
