urinary tract infection
I was dx with a UTI today. My doctor told me to take antibiotic called Macrobid. I am 14 wks, and even though my Md said it is safe Iam nervous about taking it. Has anyone else had to take antibiotics while preggo?

It's completely safe. I've taken that before. I ended up asking for something the next UTI I got because the Macrobid made my mouth water terribly for a week. I spent all day and night spitting into a garbage can it was so bad. Gross I know, but it's better than swallowing it!  I couldn't deal with it anymore. I forgot what the other stuff was that they gave me, but I had no problems with the other one.

I took it, I think I was close to 20 weeks when I got diagnossed with an UTI. It all worked out fine.

I got diagnosed with a UTI today, they prescribed amoxicillan.

Taking the antibiotic to get rid of the infection is much better than having a UTI, even if you don't have symptoms...
Completely safe!

def true I ended up having pre-term labor contractions due to it. They ended up giving me a shot to stop them and that held me off till I was really ready.

yep, around week 9 or 12 had a UTI - was put on anti-bio

your dr. will only tell you meds. to take that are safe for the baby.
