using bleach to clean dishwasher?
How do you disinfect your dishwasher?
I heard you can run either bleach, vinegar or lemonade Kool Aid through the dishwasher to get rid of the germs.
Does bleach harm the machine in any way??

Considering kool aid is pure sugar and bacteria thive on sugar, I would nix that choice.
Your dish washer sould get hot enough to be a sanitizer for the dishes, so I don;t know why you need to clean it. Its cleaning every cycle.

I buy a dishwasher cleaner and do it like 3 times a year.
it goes into an empty dishwasher and you run the dishwasher as you normally would

PS-you don't use the sugar version of the kool aid-you just use the packet without the sugar
But i wouldn't put bleach anywhere there is stuff i'm going to eat off of.
I would do vinegar or lemon juice and the santizing cycle or buy a dishwasher cleaner posted above.

Jet Dry makes a dishwashwer cleaner similar to the one posted above, you can get it in the grocery store. That is what I use and it works great!
