Using Honey to Relieve Sore Throat or Cough

I remember reading honey is pretty good at helping children over 1 get relief from sore throats or coughs, but I'm having trouble finding info about how to give it.

Does anyone use this for their child close to 2 years in age and how much do you give?

TIA! DS is finally much better from the nasty cough he had last week, but I want to try this next time.

My mom would always sneak it into my juice, mix it up and sneak it in...if not, if you can give him some chamomile tea and you can mix it in to that if he'll take it....HTH!
