using OPKs now- question
Ok so i'm now using the clearblue OPKs. I have a very regular cycle so I'm pretty sure I know when I ovulate. If I am correct, that would be on Monday.
So, I was wondering: Should we be holding off until we get the smiley face (probably tomorrow or Sunday)?
or
Should we be trying now?
DH and I have been "trying" like every 2-3 days or so.. I've heard from friends that waiting too long would mean that alot of the sperm are dead, though. So, if we wait until I ovulate, could alot of them be dead? On the flip side, if we try tonight, is it true that there won't be a high sperm count when I'm ovulating?
Please don't respond with "don't worry just relax and it'll happen" because I am relaxed. I am just trying to become a little more knowledgable with this stuff and google doesn't really provide answers, lol

using OPKs now- question
The month I got pregnant we did it the week ovulation was supposed to happen, every day until my cervix closed. I have done a lot of research and unless your DH has male fertility issues, there is no harm in every day. Once I stopped OPK's, my body gave me all the signals I needed, I even felt ovulation. We tried every other day, just doing it a couple days around ovulation etc. It was the month we did it for a week every day that it finally took. Good Luck!

I think your supposed to do it every other day leading up to ovulation and the every day when you ovulate for like 3 days. Sperm can live inside the woman for like 48 hours

Re: using OPKs now- question
If you're fairly certain that you will O on Monday then prime days would be Sat, Sun, Monday. If you're concerned about DHs supply getting old then BD tomorrow, too, if you can.
ETA: Healthy sperm can actually survive for up to 5 days depending on conditions.

With 1st, we DTD on the day I got my smiley. That was the only time. We have a healthy 3 1/2 year old.

ok great we did the same. DTD on the day I got my smiley.. I got a smiley on the next day, but we didn't DTD that day. We did, however, DTD the day after (although I probably ovulated by then). So we DTD every other day starting on the first day I got my smiley
