Uterine Lining
Hi ladies,
I am kinda upset right now and any feedback would be great! So I should be having my egg retrieval this Saturday. They think I will stim tonight with the HCG shot. My question is yesterday at blood and sono my uterine lining was 7.1 which they said is perfect and now today it is 6.3 triple. What does that mean? Is that a bad sign im freaking out about this! :( The PA said she could have measured it wrong the day before, but I have a feeling thats not correct. What is going on? Does this mean all of my shots that I have been taking and this cycle I'm already out :(

Uterine Lining
Triple is good. Its definitely possible she measured wrong. This would only impact implantation, not retrieval. Worst case if your lining becomes too thin is you postpone your transfer.

Re: Uterine Lining
i remember my doctor saying something and showing me the triple lines. like you want to see 3 lines and have it be like velcro. so the "triple" you mention seems like its totally fine.

Re: Uterine Lining
To be blunt-- it depends which study you look at and which Doctor your speak to.
Ideally, it should be triple layered AND thick. The fact that it's triple layered is great though. If your doctor decides he'd rather wait for an overall thicker lining, or if you don't feel comfortabl transferring yet, you can always freeze and transfer next cycle.
The 6s is thin.... Ideally you want at least 7 but the holy grail of linings is 10 and triple layered.
With the flick of a wrist, you can make a thick lining look thin, or vice versa. If you're convened she made a mistake, go back and get it remeasured.

Re: Uterine Lining
Thank you all for your responses. It has calmed me down which I needed!
Question: Is there any teas or vitamins that I could start to help thicken it?? TIA!

Just called back and spoke to the doctor and he said it was okay. Feeling more relieved.

Re: Uterine Lining
What Pennycat said. But if you haven't had your retrieval yet, then there's still time for your lining to thicken. I would be positive!
