Anyone know of family friendly vacation spots. DH and I are trying to decide on a vacay spot. Steven will be about 7 or 8 months old.

Re: Vacation spot
Not sure how far you are planning on going, but my family has been going to the same family resort upstate for 20+ years. We took Michael for his first time when he was 7 months old. He loves it there as do we! We go with the same group of people each year!
There's nothing luxury about it - very simple, family style meals, pool, shuffleboard, playground, etc., but we love it and I cannot wait to go in July!

Re: Vacation spot
Thanks! That is what we want to do. Try to find spot that we can go to every year, make friends, stuff like that. When I was little it was Lake George, but we haven't gone in quite a few years. Also, that was my parents spot, now I want my own spot
I may go with Niagara Falls, but we are not positive.
Any other suggestions?

Re: Vacation spot
we are staying in a vacation condo on the gulf coast of Florida by Clearwater beach- it's on the beach, but also has a pool, jacuzzi, etc- we'll have our own kitchen so we don't have to eat out all the time- and the price was right- $600 for the week... With the airfare (we got DD her own seat) and a car rental- it will be $1500 for the whole vacation.

Re: Vacation spot
I stayed at the Club Med Sandpiper when Alex was about 7 months old - ridiculously family friendly - you don't have to bring anything with you for the baby because they have everything. We really enjoyed ourselves - not exactly a "romantic" vacation, but definitely enjoyable and relaxing

Re: Vacation spot
uhhh..I thought we had a date
I am going to Yosemite. I don't think its kid friendly..huge mosquitos..high elevation, but we have a wedding there this summer. Josh is the ring bearer, so I am dressing him up as a bear since we will be in the forest. I am not telling my bridezilla sister till we are there though

Ring BEARer
Yes, I believe we are still making a trip down to MB. We have some vacation days that DH has to use or loose, so we have more time than usual

Re: Vacation spot
good! I know, ringBEARER..I am the guest that I would never have wanted at my wedding..I am going to make a spectical of my baby going down the isle. its just too good to pass up.
she will be happy when she gets the pics back. I won't tell her, I don't want her to tell me no..then I will be downright rude..now I am just trying to be creative
