Vacation with 8 week old!!

What should I bring?! I'm freaking out. I've never had to pack for a little baby before. We are going away Thursday to Rehobeth, DL. We're staying 5 nights.


Should I bring the pack and play or invest in a travel bed?
Do you think the trip will throw off her schedule?
How am I going to sanitize bottles in a hotel ROOM???
Where am I going to give her a bath?

I'd bring the pack and play.

We went away when DS was 10 weeks and he actually started sleeping long stretches through the night then.

We didn't sanitize the bottles while we were there but, we stayed in a timeshare so we had a full kitchen - I washed them in warm soapy water.

As for the bath, DH held Ds in the big tub and I washed him.

what about doing dropin bottles and then just bring a sponge and soap to wash the nipples??

Good Luck! we have no plans on going away until maybe next summer but even thinking of doing it then makes me freak out about everything we will need

We just went away when DD was about 9 weeks old. She did great! I brought the Fisher Price Rock and Play Sleeper because at the time, that's what she was sleeping in at home. As long as you have soap and hot water there's no reason to sanitize bottles. Babies that young should adapt easily, the most important thing is to make sure she's napping throughout the day. As for baths, if you're only going to be gone days I think a sponge bath is fine, but what we have done is have DH hold the baby standing up in the shower and both of us give the baby a quick wash.
