No regrets, did not have any complications. BUT, there is still a lot unknown and there is the variant coming about which means a booster and I'm just not sure I'm on board with another shot of something relatively unknown. Also unsure about having the kids vaccinated.
Also, after a LONG time I am noticing cancellations at the office I work in due to COVID or exposure. One exposure at kid's camp so far. I thought we were done with that.

Cancelations because people are afraid they may get it?

I have mixed emotions. Definitely regretted getting it because I had very negative side effects to the vaccine and was barely Ill with covid. I probably will not do it again. But at the same time I am glad I am vaccinated because i am able to go see Dave Matthews at Jones beach in September.
Which shot did you get? I just rescheduled mine that I was supposed to get today because I was too nervous about potential side effects.
J&J right before they pulled it off the market. I also had covid so I think I was more susceptible to vaccine side effects.
Ok I was planning on getting pfizer.

I have no regrets about getting it. If a booster is needed, I will get that too.

vaccine and Regretted
Not sure why anyone would regret it? Yes people may experience unpleasant side effects for a day or two, on the very very very rare occasion some have had serious side effects, as with ANY vaccine out there, there can always be serious side effects. The day or two of unpleasant side effects are far less impactful than having covid. I would get it again and will get it annually if I need to. Once my kids are eligible I will be talking to my pediatrician about them getting it as well. They are 4.5 and vaccine trials are already being done for the 5-12 age group so hopefully they will get it soon too.
I think people that experience highly unpleasant side effects will be less likely to get it but I think it’s really going to come to individual choice with this until it becomes a requirement like other vaccines to attend school or colleges nation wide. Until then, as much as I want herd immunity it should be individual choice to get the 2nd shot or the entire series. Travel is another piece of it. In college my MMR vaccine had worn off when I had titers run and I needed a booster. I was going to Ireland and it was required for travel to study abroad that was back in 2008.

Vaccinated and do not regret it. I went in to my decision fully aware that it is not a "cure" for COVID, it just lessens the severity of the infection if I were to get it.

Why would you assume some people may not have regrets? I have a manager at work that is now out on medical leave for the foreseeable future because reaction to the 1st shot. Why would the 2nd shot be choice but not the 1st?

My co worker, who got bells palsey from the vaccine, and is being told it may or may not resolve itself, and could be a week, a month, a year, before it does resolve itself, because they have no idea, definitely regrets getting it.

People like myself, who had extremely mild covid, and somewhat serious side effects to the vaccine would regret it. Not sure why that’s hard to understand. It’s like people can’t believe that some have mild covid but serious reactions to the vaccine. That’s what I can’t understand.

If you don’t mind me asking, what kind of reaction did you get to the vaccine? Only asking because it’s probably because you had Covid already and your body responded well (making you feel like dog shit) My reaction to the vaccine (I got J&J) was a mini Covid for 6 hours. I felt just as ****** as I did when I had it minus the pneumonia.
I’ve had bad reactions to the flu shot (horrible immune response with joint swelling and pain for weeks - once for almost 2 months) but only some years. So every year is a gamble for me. I still get it because the flu was a nightmare last time I had it

I felt like I had covid but about 100 times worse than I actually had it. Couldn’t move for two days, fever, chills, total body aches and pains and then not feeling well for another day of two. Bloody nose and extremely heavy irregular period linked to thrombocytopenia. I am sure it’s because I already had covid but I also react very strongly to medication in general. Like I can have a raging migraine and take two Advil and it’s gone. Also, the moment I got the shot I felt like a baseball had been injected into my arm. Have gotten plenty of shots before and never had that.
I don’t think I will ever do it again or let my children get it. Not after we’ve already had covid and they have the same protection right now as someone who has had the vaccine.

The scary thing is there is no way to know for sure so they will never definitively link it even though it most likely was not a coincidence.

I regret it and it is unlikely that I will never do it again. I was very sick for 3 days after the second shot and my throat swelled up I had to go to the ER. Beside the throat swelling-my face swelled up too and it was over a week before went back to normal and a rash.
I was only allowed 2 days from work for vaccine side effects I had to take 6 days. So I regret getting the vaccine. I never should have put my body through that. I would hope I would have the choice to not get the vaccine again, if needed. I never had an issue with other vaccines but I have a problem with this one and I have a problem because I did feel like I had no choice to not take it. I did ask my doctor if I could be medically exempt from taking it again and he said it's unlikely b/c my reaction wasn't severe enough!!
So that's my long way of saying -yes I regret it and hope never to take it again.
Can I ask which shot?
Moderma I felt like I was bullied into getting the shot and I really don't think enough research into the side effect was or will be done. They just want to get the needle in the arm. I know teenagers that are getting their periods for 2-3 weeks with a heavy flow after getting the shot. My niece asked her doctor about side effects to the vaccine and her menstral cycle and the doctor said that he wasn't told of any such side effect and it was probably due to stress and anxiety surrounding COVID.
My niece got the shot based on her doctor's statements and got her period heavy for 10 days, skipped the next month and got it again heavy for 12 days and still has her period (week 3 now) but no longer heavy. Her doctor claims it's not due to the shot-just her body getting used to getting her period. My niece is 16-she's had her period for close to 3 years now.
I feel like all this fear mongering and cherry picked statistics are trying to scare people into getting the vaccine. Case are going up (but are hospitaliztions? )
From 7/18/21: The 7-day average positivity rate is now up to nearly 1.4%.
Hospitalizations are on the decline though, down six from Friday as 354 New Yorkers are now in the hospital.
I certainly hope that they don't mandate this vaccine for kids (and we all know that NYS will) after my reaction to the vaccine-I don't know what to do for my kids.
I regret taking it and I am not an anti-vax person by any means but I feel like there are more nasty side effects from this vaccine that the government doesn't want doctors to report and they want all the negativity to be silenced.
My last rant on this vaccine that I had a horrible experience with- if I still have to wear a mask and have all these precautions in place even though I'm vaxxed-what's the point of getting the vaccination if nothing will go back to normal.

vaccine and Regretted
I don't regret it but I swear I had the worst pain in my lower left lymph node. Last week was the first week I did not have any severe pain. I was in so much pain at times I could barely sit at my desk. I have never experienced pain like this before. It was maybe for a few hours each day. Some days would be very minor. A day every so often when I experienced none. Or it could last a few hours.
I just went to my gyno in February and everything was ok. I had sonogram and ultrasounds just prior to the vaccine.
I got the vaccine in April. about a week later that is when I started getting this pain.
I am hoping this it. And does not come back.
I am not sure what it came from. But it is weird that it just happened after that.
