Vaccine Schedule
Hello Ladies,
I am currently 28 weeks pregnant with first DD and starting to really think about vaccine schedules and how to handle this. Of course I'm nervous but DD will be in daycare and required to be up to date with her immunizations. Any thoughts or advice on a spread out schedule?

Re: Vaccine Schedule
There a bunch of threads about this topic - if you search you will get so many to read through.
Everyone does things different and its a personal choice. However, from reading a lot about it I feel that a lot of people separate the vaccines and not give more than 2 shots at a time. But to some that means 2 actual needle sticks to other it means no more than 2 vaccines. Ex. Give dtap by itself because it contains 3 different components or give dtap with something else for a total of 2 needle sticks. Doing it this way will make you go to the pediatrician more often usually every 2 weeks if you want to stay on schedule. Other people only give 1 vaccine a month. Others will decide the ones they feel are the most important at the time and will delay the rest.
Honestly, I was so overwhelmed and scared when I started researching it. But do the research and make a decision you are comfortable with.

Re: Vaccine Schedule
I found the vaccine book by Dr. Sears to be SUPER helpful and a very good read - easy to understand and helped me to really know the information about each one. He gives you example schedules to follow, it's wonderful. I bought it on Amazon - I highly recommend it :) then you can make an informed decision that's best for you and DH :)
