Vacuum--hardwood floor people I need help
So we have this vacuum it's a Eureka. It is crap. Hard to clean filter but what's worse is that it blows dust away from the machine instead of sucking it up when I am doing the hardwood floors.
I need a good recommendation on a vac that doesn't do this.

well i have a kenmore and it is a canister. it has the attachments. so i take the carpet attachment off and put on another one that is good for the HW floors. I love my vacuum. it also comes with an attachment to vaccuum couches.
we have this one..

well i have a kenmore and it is a canister. it has the attachments. so i take the carpet attachment off and put on another one that is good for the HW floors. I love my vacuum. it also comes with an attachment to vaccuum couches.
we have this one..

I love it.
I have the progressive model, it was top rated by consumer reports.
I dont switch attachments for the floors, It has a switch on the handle to change from hardwood to carpet. This is my favorite feature!! I dont have to bend down to switch the carpet height adjustments.
My floors are so clean to walk on afterwards I love it.

yeah i have that option on the handle too. but i do like putting the attachment on just because i feel i get closer to the ground since it has the bristles like a broom, but you dont have to.

We have the Dyson cannister and I LOVE it!! It has a powerhead that you turn off when you do the hardwood and then turn it on for the carpets and area rugs. It was worth every penny!!
