Valentine's Day cards

What is the protocol? My DD is in 1st grade...should she address each one to a specific kid in her class with their name, or just sign them all with her name so she can hand them out to whoever?

Re: Valentine's Day cards

I have my son sign his name and then we put each child's name on the envelope.

Re: Valentine's Day cards

In our school they only put their name on it (the person sending it), therefore it's easier to get them in the valentines boxes (or whatever they do).

Re: Valentine's Day cards

DS's pre-k and K requested that you don't address it to a particular child...everyone has to get one and they don't want to sort...

Re: Valentine's Day cards

My son's kindergarten teacher asked that DS write out one to each child and directed us to the on line class list. He was supposed to sign his name as well. They wanted the kids to practice letter writing.

Re: Valentine's Day cards

Our teacher (DD is in K) asked for them to just sign their names, not to address it to each kid in particular. Kind of annoys me (and DD is bummed) because she knows how to spell all of her classmates' names and wanted to pick specific cards for her specific friends. I just feel like they should have been given that option, since they are spending time making boxes for the Valentines to go in, etc...they should have time to help kids give out the invites.
