VBAC Question
First......I'm not pregnant. Just want to get that out.
I had a scheduled C-section with Emerson because they anticipated her being large (she turned out to only be 8lbs 8oz) but not because of any complications or anything like that. Of course, although Emme is healthy and awesome, I am still disappointed about not having the opportunity to deliver vaginally. I've been reading up on VBAC's and it seems like it might be a possibility down the road when the time comes.
Has anyone had a VBAC here? If so, how did it go? Any complications? Were you able to deliver vaginally? Any insight is appreciated.
Thanks!!!

Re: VBAC Question
Hey, can't help with any answers, but this has been weighing down on me too. I had a c-section because he was sunny side-up and I can't get it out of my head about what to do for the next one. (I am not preggo yet either LOL)

Re: VBAC Question
I had a successful vbac with my DD. She was born exactly 2 years after I had my son by c/s because he was breech. A link to my birth story is in my profile, but I don't think it will give you any real info!!
Please FM with any specific questions and I will be glad to answer.

Re: VBAC Question
I didn't have a VBAC but was hoping to with my 3rd child. My first was a vbirth and my 2nd was only a c/s bc she was breech so I was a great candidate for a bunch of reasons in the hiostory of my previous pregnancies (went into labor on my own, progressed easily, was able to deliver a 9lb+ baby vaginally, no complications) but #3 was also a breechie so that was that, I had another c/s. I think the first thing you have to do is find out if your doctor is pro-VBAC or not. Some just aren't and if you really want to try for a VBAC, obviously you have to have your doctor on your side or find one who is.
Trish is still my VBAC hero!!

Re: VBAC Question
I had a succesful VBAC 8 days ago. It was a wonderful experience. It went smoothly & there were no complications. I had a long labor, but I pushed out my 8lb 6oz baby in 30 minutes with a minor tear. My birth story is here. The best advice I have if you really want a VBAC is to find a care provider who will be very supportive of your plans. Feel free to FM if you have any questions!

Re: VBAC Question
Thanks for the responses. I will explore all my options but I would love to have a VBAC. When the time comes I will speak with my OB as well and see what he thinks. I hope it's a possibility.
