Vent: I accidently slipped and told a secret and feel so guilty!! And ******!!!
I won't get into details but I was told a secret (nothing serious but was in confidence) and while out today I slipped and told an acquaintence.
I tried to correct myself but it was out and I asked her to pleasse keep it to her self until it is public knowledge (secret would be publicized on Monday). While we are at same function she shares secret with all of friends and calls/text party involved to confirm and get more details. I was outraged and humiliated that I started the rumor mill.
She was aware that I didn't mean to say anything and asked to keep it quiet and she did that. I mean she wasn't a friend in the first place but kow I actually despice her.
After the fact I spoke to the party involved to explain but still I am so upset!! I am not a social butterfly and geniunely slipped, she blatenly spread the secret and commented as we were leaving event "Cat's out of the bag, and three is more to the story".
Thanks for letting me vent!!!

I probably would be upset when you first told me but i would then get over it and understand that you did not do it on purpose. I think the person that you did that to understands that bc if you did do it on purpose i dont think that you would have called her to apologize and tell her what happened. As for the aquaintence well i def wouldnt speak to her ever again she is nothing but a troublemaker especially since you asked her NOT to say anything and she did. :(

Seriously that chick needs a slap in the face. You were wrong to slip and did the right thing apologizing. I would stay away from this group of malicious rumor spreading children...

She sounds like an idiot! It can happen to any of us...slipping about something we weren't supposed to. But she took it to a whole other level.
