Verizon Droid phone users
How is the email functionality on the droid phones? I have a blackberry and I'm thinking of making the switch. I use email alot for my business and BB does email very well. How does the droid handle email?

If you use gmail its great...but I have a lot of trouble with my yahoo account. It just doesn't tell me when I have an email but all I need to do is click into it and it refreshes it and tells me then. I just hate that most of the time it doesnt notify me when I have an email

Excellent.
I use gmail & it works perfectly - no issues.
For work, we have an Exchange Server & most staff are on a Blackberry server. Unfortunately the spam doesn't get filtered out using a Droid - at least until they fix it.

I don't have gmail...I have yahoo mail and hotmail along with exchange accounts depending on each client I'm working with.

I have optonline and had problems getting all the emails from that account with my blackberry. With my Droid Incredible I get ALL my emails.

check your settings - something is wrong there!
imo, its better with email then my bberry was. i have the incredible.

DH has the droid and i agree with PP... for gmail its great!
also on a side note, if you get the droid, i'd reccommend getting a rubbery slip cover for it b/c its VERY slippery & DH dropped it a lot when he first got it!
