Very frightened, can someone help? UPDATED AGAIN
DH isn't home, my Mom is nowhere to be found...I am spotting, noticed some on my PL and then after I urinated on the TP. I've been sick today with the runs and my usual m/s. I think I am hydrating enough but maybe I'm not? I'm almost 9 weeks, can this be "normal"?? ********* Thank you so much everyone, I really appreciate it. It stopped overnight and now I just feel drained and dehydrated from being sick. I wish I could fast forward a few weeks ********* Update #2 I am going to the doctor now. Both problems have surfaced again since breakfast so I'm going. Please keep me in your prayers
********* Update #3 I'm home....the baby looks good, strong heartbeat and it got big! The doc was a little surprised at the amount of spotting but he thinks the Macrobid they put me on for a UTI threw my IBS into full swing causing dehydration, bleeding, etc. I begged him to let me go home if I promised to drink a ton of vitamin water and sleep so here I am. Can't thank you all enough for your good wishes and prayers.

Is it bright red? Is it brown? Is it light? Heavy?

Re: Very frightened, can someone help?
Is it red, pink or brown? Cramps, no cramps?
Brown blood is old blood, pink is watered down.
DId you have sex recently? Strain through a bowel movement?
The cervix is very sensitive right now, it's prob nothing
Call your dr's emergency pager, just to get some reassurance, that's what i would do

Re: Very frightened, can someone help?
Spotting is very normal in the first trimester. If you've got ms- you likely have nothing to worry about. Aere you having any cramping? Also- having the runs + vomiting will likely llead to dehydration. Drink LOTS of fluids and lay down.....
I know it's difficult- but try not to worry. I'm so sorry you're home alone.

Re: Very frightened, can someone help?
I would call the doctor they can reassure you - I know I was told that some spotting can be normal so I wouldn't panic until you speak to the doctor

Re: Very frightened, can someone help?
I haven't had sex because I'm too scared. It's brownish/pinkish in color. No cramping. I'm almost 9 weeks. I do have a strange feeling in the area of my hiatal hernia but it might be hunger and panic. My doctor's office said to watch it and if it continues, to come in at 8am. I'm scared to death....

Re: Very frightened, can someone help?
i would lay down, put your feet up and keep drinking if you have had stomach issues. As scary as it is, there isnt much you can do but wait and hope. Hang in there, i've been through it so here if you need to talk....

Thank you very much everyone...I really figured the doctor's office would have reassured me more. I'm so glad I have all of you...I'm going to go to bed now.

Re: Very frightened, can someone help?
spotting can be common in the early first tri. I had spotting from almost the very beginning of PG until 12 weeks or so. Me & baby are fine! If you get cramps or feverish then I'd call the Dr again. Also most Drs tell you if it gets heavier or red to call as well.

Re: Very frightened, can someone help?
Can I be blunt. Are you sure you can tell which end it is coming from? With the runs, you can easily have rectal bleeding from irritation.

Re: Very frightened, can someone help?
Aww...stay calm. I spotted pretty regularly with this pg from weeks 5-10. Sometimes it seemed like the start of my period and I was a wreck! It was pinkish brownish also. Just rest, drink lots, and go see your doctor tomorrow anyway! It was suggested to me to stay away from sex until the spotting stops for a few weeks. I never had these symptoms when I carried my twins, but they say each pg is different! Here I am at 13 weeks, and things look good! Hang tight... good thoughts
