Very serious issue-Dont know what to do - WARNING TMI!!
OK I warned you and you entered at your own risk
Got AF for the first time yesterday I am 6 wks PP.
Im using a pad every hr and its completley soaked and overflowing. Im passing egg size clots and I dont have much cramping just slightly. Its like gushing every few minutes. Is this normal for my first AF after having my baby?? Do I call the dr or is this completely normal? Was never like this before I got pregnant.

It sounds normal to me. The first few periods were awful. If you're still nervous, call your ob. Better safe than sorry.

Fortunately and unfortunately, it does sound normal. And it sucks.

I asked my OB at my year appt, my period was always like 1-2 days and now its really heavy she told me that your uterus grows/expands a lot when pg and this is why you have heavy pp.

Re: Very serious issue-Dont know what to do - WARNING TMI!!
The first time I got AF after Cailen, I was on my way to a parent's house for a parent training. I had no idea what was in store for me. I looked down in horror in the car to find the seat soaked with blood. Luckily I had a towel from the gym, but I had to stop at the Gap and buy new pants. I walked into the Gap with a sweatshirt tied around me.
AF has unfortunately been bad ever since... not as bad as the 1st time, but bad....

I am going to say that I would put a call into your doctor. "Egg sized clots" IMO are not normal. Post-partum or not, thats a BIG clot. My first AFs after having babies were heavier than normal, but not as bad as you are describing. My advice is that you are better safe than sorry and put a call in to make sure that everthing is ok.
