Vet around smithtown for rabbits
So today is the day we get our bunny, or bunnies. I haven't decided on 1 or 2 yet. If i get 2 I need to have them spayed/neutered. Does anyone know of a vet in the smithtown area that's neuters rabbits? Thank you. Also if I'm not neutering do they still need to see a vet? I know we didn't for my childhood rabbits.

I dont know the answer to some of your questions. But the other day I saw a vet in Huntington on Jericho that was for "exotic" pets. Not sure if rabbits fall into that category and I know it's not Smithtown but wanted to pass it on.

Thanks. My friend who gave me the bunny actually gave me the name of 2 vets in the area that do bunnies, and one of them was the vet I used to take Gimzo too. For now I took 1 bunny. I don't want to spend $$$$$ on neutering them, so if it ends up being cheap then I can get the second bunny.

That's a good idea, to at least get one fixed.

You can try contacting the Long Island Rabbit Rescue and I am sure they will have some good info for you.

When I had a rabbit, I got him neutered at commack animal hospital, it was many years ago, but I don't remember it being too expensive.
