Video Monitor - for iPhone, etc.
I'm probably the least tech-savvy person I know in this day and age. So I need some advice from you younger ladies who are more "with it". My video monitor died this year, so I'm looking to get a new one for this baby. I'd love to get one that I can also monitor from work (I work nights). The 2 that BRU has are the Motorola Blink, and the BabyPing. The Blink says it will work on an iPhone, iPad or PC, while the Ping only said for the iPhone, iPad. But the Ping seems like maybe it is easier to use. Also, I'd love to add a second camera for my other DD's room if possible. Did anybody register for, or buy one of these or look into them at all? I know the Apple store also has a couple different models available. Is there something better?

Re: Video Monitor - for iPhone, etc.
We have the blink. We got the ping first but we found it didn't work well. (Major delay in sending info to your phone to alert you to noise etc. unrelated to the network) The blink works pretty well, but sometimes the site goes down which makes it useless. We had to get a back up audio one for when it goes off line. All and all I would say this product is a great idea, but needs some work to perfect.

Does anybody know if you can use 2 cameras with the Motorola and switch back and forth between them? Would you need a separate app for each camera?

just want to jump in and say if you go with a monitor that uses internet just make sure you have a locked password protected wifi for it. There have been reports of hackers hacking these. It actually just happened to a good frirend of mine. Some creep was talking to her baby thru the monitor. There was also just a Newsday article on it as well.

Thanks. I will be sure I set it up as securely as is possible.

Look into the Foscam on amazon. It's a general security camera that works like the blink but sets up like a ping and is cheaper than both!
