This issue of Jessica Simpson's Dolly Parton Tribute Breakdown that everyone is making such a fuss about? So not a big deal. I mean, she looks a little silly, but it's not like she ran off the stage sobbing in shame.

I didn't hear much of it, but from what I did hear she didn't sound awful......I mean Dolly herself was smiling and clapping, give Jess a brake!

I dont think she sounded THAT horrible....she was just nervous being in front of the woman that made the song famous!!! I would be $hitting in my pants to make it so right!!

If its the clip you hit on the top of this post well then yes, it was the same.
I wasn't refering to what you said it was my own comment! and yes I dont think she was that bad, its being nervous thats all, I dont think we would all sound that great if we had to sing infront of VERY famous people.

I guess since she's a SINGER by profession, I expected her to sing, not mumble...she's not an amateur. There's a certain level of professionalism that paid performers should have. IMO, she lacked that. I wouldn't expect you and me to sound great either, yes, but that's not our job.
That's all.
It wasn't an attack on what you said, it was a response/my opinion on what was a hurried/mumbled performance.

I don't think we actually saw the part where she flubs! They reshot it after the show, and the flub part is never to air.

That's what I heard too. I think that clip is the "do-over", which wasn't perfect either.

I agree. It wasn't that bad...it wasn't an Ashlee Simpson f/u, that's for sure.

The first reports made it sound like she ran off stage in the middle of the performance.
Either they were way off base or this was a reshoot.

I saw the video, it wasn't that bad, and not nearly as bad as everyone is making it out to be.
I am not her biggest fan, but she is an amazing singer and blows most everyone out of the water these days. Have you HEARD her competition sing live? A lot of "singers" today sound like crap if you take out all the diggital "retouching".

What the video didn't show was her leaving the stage in tears and coming back and asking if she could come back. At least that is what I read.

I feel bad for her.. I can see from the clip she wasn't singing the right words but she didn't sound bad... You can totally tell she was a bundle of nerves and I do feel bad for her.
