This was left out of the original statement in the post above:

Sad. But she isn't going anywhere.
Here it is in it's entirety:

For real???? She probably married him because she has zero self esteem and is a victim of both physical and emotional abuse.
This is news because this is someone people considered a hero. And he certainly acted like one. Ray Rice did a lot of good work, both in Baltimore and in his NY home of New Rochelle. But no one should look up to someone that knocks out a woman.
Seriously, because SHE didn't do anything about it- it's okay that he knocked her out (and I don't care if she was knocked out from his fist or from the result of it- hitting her head on the rail)??
So, let's say there are no consequences. They divorce, he meets someone else and beats the shit out of her. She DOESN'T think it's ok. Can the NFL suspend him then?
Most victims of domestic violence think they deserve it. Most don't leave or can't leave. Do you all think that their abusers should just be allowed to keep on keepin' on because their wives/gfs don't press charges? They should keep their jobs as doctors, lawyers, teachers, baristas, whatever?

Did you ever stop to think that maybe she doesn't have the self esteem or the means to leave him? I'm going to just venture a guess here that this isn't the first time he's beaten her, and it won't be the last if she stays.
She's a victim plain and simple and doesn't deserve this. That's like saying a woman who wearing a mini skirt deserved to get raped
Did anyone ever stop to think that some women see $$$$$$$$ signs ??
Not all women are such helpless victims .........some of these women are just as disgraceful as the men they stay with.

Victim, wife or gold digger whatever she's called by anyone
NO ONE!!! deserves to get hit so hard they are rendered unconscious for a LONG time, to the point where you're wondering if she's dead. Then to see him calmly and methodically drag her body out of the elevator and prop her up is not only disgusting, but terrifying.
It's her choice to do whatever she wants her life, her lessons, I just feel sad for her even though she married him. I just hope she escapes sooner rather than later.

I can. It's either one of two things.
1- He has eroded her self esteem so much that she believes she deserved it, believes she can't leave, etc.
2 - She's sticking with the money train. Possibly she grew up with abuse & is ok with it. But she's willing to take the hit because she wants the lifestyle.
Totally agree...either way it's so sad and disturbing and I worry for their child. Domestic violence is, so often, a cycle. :(

It looks like he spit in her face before she hit him. Someone said in the comments and if you look closely, it does look like that.
I was JUST about to say the same. He spit in her face. She nudges him, he pushes her back into the wall and as she came towards him...he knocked her out. That hit she took on the rail could have killed her!

The press conference they did in May she said she blamed herself. I guess saying she provoked him. She stuck up for him which basically sticks up for the teams 2 game suspension.
How sad for her and their child.

How she feels is somewhat beside the point. He is proven to have done this, and now people, including his employers have to decide whether they want someone who does something like this wearing their uniform.
Just like the DA can choose to prosecute someone whose victim has forgiven them. It's "State of NY versus Defendant," not "victim versus defendant" in a prosecution.

Her statement is typical when you are a victim of abuse. You blame everyone except your abuser. I am quite sure it's not the first time she was hit due to his calm, nonchalant demeanor .
For those questioning the original suspension: For him to originally receive the 2 game suspension in the beginning was due to the fact that this video was not seen by the NFL until TMZ released it. Keep in mind the Revel closed last week and all of those employees are now out of jobs and this video now surfaces (sounds like it was sold to tmz) because what can Revel do?!

I get what your saying, but I really don't buy that the NFL didn't see the tape. Back when this originally happen3d I'm pretty sure they aored the end of the video. Hom dragging her out. The NFL either saw it and didn't care toouch or they chose not to see it, which is wrong. They had it avaliable to them. Out of sight out of mind. They knew something happened but chose not to acknowledge it.
I do agree though that someone from Revel probably made big bucks on this "leak"
