Vineyard weekend getaway
If you were planning an Anniversary weekend getaway out east at the vineyards, where would you stay? Any nice hotels/ areas close to all the vineyards, restaurants and shopping? Thanks

Vineyard weekend getaway
Eastwind is really nice. I know there has also been some discussion on here about a nice hotel in Greenport, but I don't recall the name

Re: Vineyard weekend getaway
We stayed at Hotel Indigo. Really nice, had a pool and a nice bar/restaurant. Rooms were small but updated and modern.
Right next door to the outlets if you want to shop and then a short drive to all vineyards and good restaurants.

Re: Vineyard weekend getaway
We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn, they have a shuttle that took us and picked us up which was really nice.

Vineyard weekend getaway
I just stayed at East Wind. I loved it, especially that the restaurant was in-house. Affordable and so so relaxing. I think they're booked on weekends but you can try.... Decor was dated and is starting to look worn but we got an upgrade to a suite and it was still beautiful!

Re: Vineyard weekend getaway
Harbor Front Inn in Greenport is nice. My DH and I did an anniversary weekend out there and it was close to the wineries and you can walk to all of the shops and restaurants and bars in Greenport.
Also a friend recently stayed at Cedar House on Sound B&B and raved about it.

Re: Vineyard weekend getaway
We've stayed at Eastwind and Hotel Indigo and we liked Indigo so much better. Much more up to date, delicious restaurant and close to outlets (and a delicious ice cream place called Snowflake's lol) We love it there and have gotten Groupons 3 or 4 times already.
