Visitor policy at Good Sam? UPDATED with another question.

Does anyone know the minimum age kids have to be to visit the maternity floor ar Good Sam? They are not siblings.

TIA!

2nd question:
Does labor and delivery have their own waiting room for like grandparents? Or does everyone wait in the main lobby downstairs?

Visitor policy at Good Sam?

Not sure what the minimum age is, but when I had DS 10 weeks ago, my niece was allowed to come and see us, and she is only 2 and the Doctors and Nurses did not say anything.

We waited in the main lobby when my sister had my niece. There was no separate lobby on the labor/delivery floor.

Main lobby downstairs. There is a tiny waiting room upstairs but it is really just for you to wait before they take you in.

There is a little waiting room upstairs but it only has like 4 seats and they usually use those seats for you to wait in before they take you in, or for the dad to be to sit in while they prep you or give you the epi.

Re: Visitor policy at Good Sam? UPDATED with another question.

My girls are 8 weeks now so I dount rules changed. My roommates had babies and toddlers visiting. There were kids in the hallways all the time for visiting hours. (which was annoying b/c I couldnt visit the nicu for fear of kids running into me down the hall when I was in c section pain). They arent too strict with daytime visiting but security comes at 8pm and kicks people out.

The L&D waiting room has like 5 seats. My family all waited there. I was also scheduled C so they knew when I'd be in and out.

Also, I remember someone posting that DHs couldnt stay past 10 or so, but DH came to visit me every night after midnight when he got off work. He would check out our one DD from the regular nursery and bring her to my room for a 5 min visit then bring her back and sit with our other DD in the nicu. One night he was so quiet I thought it was a nurse who had come into the room when I saw someone standing by my bed. I had a roommate so he was quiet. The other night I didnt have a roommate.

When my sister gave birth, we all waited in the little room upstairs. We were also let in the room 15 minutes after she had the baby and I got to hold my nephew -- that's one of my favorite things about Good Sam!!
