Vitamin C - Serum / face cream?

Anyone use Vitamin C for their skin? I have been seeing this popping up in a few places and wonder if its worth buying. It does say to use it in its purest form...if you do use do you have any brand recommendations?

I use Obagi Professional-C Serum 20 under my moisturizer:


and I have another serum that's a Vit-C and Hydroquinone combo, but I don't use that as often. (I can't remember the brand at the moment.)

I'll probably try the SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic serum next (I've read that Vit-C combined with Vit-E had the greatest results.)



I can't really tell if it's doing anything. I considered it more preventative than anything.

ETA: The one thing the Vit-C serum did do was correct the stubborn dry patches I had on my face by my nose and under my eyes. And I even seemed to have some persistent dry patches just above my ears and I started put the serum there and it went away.
