Vitamin question
Ds ped. gave us a perscription for his vitamins at his last apt.
He said I could put them in his bottle....
My question is-If I put them in his bottle and then he only drinks half- then he really only got half the dosage of vitamins...-right? Is that ok?
My DR didnt seem to big on vitamins... and had I not asked for them I prob would not of gotten them.... (I just really wanted to have him on them- when we introduce milk @ 10/11 months....).

Re: Vitamin question
I wouldn't put them in his bottle with any liquid. I would think you won't know how much he got. I think to estimate it at half would be inaccurate depending on how the vitamin mixes with the formula.
I would try to get him used to the taste (and the god awful smell). I would use the medicine dropper.

Re: Vitamin question
We put it in a nipple and she takes it that way.

Re: Vitamin question
Are you putting it in with formula/milk? Or another liquid? They say the vitamins aren't supposed to be given with milk.
old post here
Aidan takes it from the dropper, but on occasion I have just put it in his juice/water. Maybe only make him like 2 oz or something you know he will finish so you know he is getting it all.
Those babies that don't like the taste, sometimes will take it if the dropper is placed towards the back of the mouth or down the side by the cheek.
