Vitamix?! Seriously?!

I'm in the market for a new blender and had heard about this one, so I went to look it up right now and....seriously?! $500?! For a blender? "One of the most trusted brands in high performance BLENDING TECHNOLOGY " It's a blender!

What am I missing here?

It's an awesome blender, my sister has one. Makes so much. You can find a good deal and easy pay on QVC typically.

I've got a Blendtec, which has similar functions as the Vitamix, and it is an awesome blender. You can find factory refurbished models on the company's website for less money.

Vitamix?! Seriously?!

There are some similar blenders out there that are a little cheaper than the Vitamix. The Ninja or the Blendtec. I don't have any of these but i've looked at all 3.

This! It is awesome and I got it at Costco with additional attachments. It was cheaper than the one at Kohls.

I'm another ninja lover here! I got it from BJ's for a Christmas gift and it was just over $100. And it has all the bells and whistles.

I have a vitamix and I love it. My other blender is 10 years old and when I made green smoothies in it, DH didn't like the texture of it and didn't want to drink smoothies everyday. Since we got the vitamix, we have started to use flaxseeds, chia seeds in smoothies which we didn't with a regular blender. Having said that, americas test kitchen did a review on blenders and vitamix got the highest rating and I believe breville got good ratings too.

Vitamix?! Seriously?!

I never believed the hype on the vitamix.. then one day me and BF were flipping channels and came across QVC doing a demo about it. With the flex pay it was like $79 a month so we went for it and it is AMAZING. Even though it is ridiculously expensive it is definitely worth it and they last forever.

Unless that blender is rubbibg my back, drawing me a bath, and serving me dinner no way. I don't care what kind of miracles it performs. Does it turn water to wine? Then sign me up.
Otherwise my ninja works just fine for my needs... which is generally frozen margaritas and daiquiris in the summer.

The only thing I ever used my blender for is making margaritas, so I have zero need for anything expensive. I think I've had the same blender for 10 years, and I'm pretty sure it was from Walmart .

Re: Vitamix?! Seriously?!

I think I use my blender twice a year. If I used it more to cook or make smoothies constantly, I could see it being an investment. Most people I know who have high end items like these it's because they use them.

Re: Vitamix?! Seriously?!

What I like about the Ninja is there are attachments for food processing and then the blender attachment.
I don't use the blender much but I LIVE on the food processing attachment

. Yes, I use my vitamix almost daily. Not just for smoothies but for soups, nut butters, nut milks, slushies, dressings and much more. So worth it !

The Vitamix was worth every penny. DH was skeptical at first because of its cost, but he's sold. We use it at least a few times a week to make cappuccinos, cooking soup in it, smoothies, nut milks, etc. It's a lot stronger than our old blender. We also like the cleaning function!

I have the Ninja too and I love it! I also have the NutriBullet and I use it almost every morning...it's such an easy clean up!

I got the Margaritaville Frozen Concoction maker for my bridal shower so I'm excited to use that for frozen drinks this summer Chat Icon Chat Icon

By quality and you only cry once (I recently heard this and thought it was so funny but true). I have had my Vitamix for 13 years. My original one is 20 years old and is in our vacation home--still perfect. With a professional high speed motor, you have many options. For example, I make this Almond Milk almost every day. The Vitamix can do a job like this and is well worth the investment!
