W Babylon/W Islip/ Lindenhurst Moms
I know this probably shouldnt be on this post but we are in the process of moving and I was wondering what everyone thought of their neighborhoods.
Are they kid friendly? I want to make sure that the boys will have friends on the block.
What do you think of the schools?
Are there other kids activities that you take advantage of through the town?
I am so confused and I do not know where to go.
Thank you,
Melissa

Re: W Babylon/W Islip/ Lindenhurst Moms
i grew up in west islip and we recently just moved from west babylon.
west islip is a nice neighborhood. I would move back to WI in a heartbeat but right now it is not in our budget considering there isn't many "legal" apartments.
West babylon is nice in certain neighborhoods. Overall the schools are decent, but depending on where you are exactly looking it can be beautiful or just "ok"
my DH went through west babylon schools and his brothers are still currently in the schools.
I don't see any problems with either neighborhood or schools. FM me if you have more specific questions.

I live in WI and we are very happy. I hear the schools are great. We go to programs at the library for DS.

We live in W. Islip and I really love it here. Our neighbors are great. My kids aren't school age yet but they have a lot of great programs thru the town. Alex is doing a small fry camp which is going well so far.
