WAHM or SAHM's what is your

daily routine? I work frome twice a week and although I'm pretty bound to the house (need to be available via phone and email) I'm always looking for things to do with my 13 month old DD.

Typically she get's up around 7:30, we have breakfast at 8 and then she just plays in the living room with all her toys until her first nap at 10am while I work (and post) on/off.

She'll wake up around 11 - 11;30, I'll get her dressed and have lunch then try to get out for about an hour. In the winter it's usually just an errand of some sort, but a day like today I'll take her for a walk around the neighborhood. Then if I'm lucky she'll nap again from about 2 - 3:30.

From 3:30 - until dinner we just play with her toys, read books etc. After dinner play, bath, book and bed.

I feel like I don't do much with her - all she does is play with her toys all the time. I'm bored, so I'm assuming she has to get bored.

Any suggestions? She's in a daycare center 3 days a week, so she gets socialization and crafts. The winter is so tough.

I typically work during her naps and while she plays. I'm sitting on the floor with her with my lap top. Yes very productive...I get most done at night. It's worth the extra time with her.

I work at home also 3 days a week. To be honest, I pretty much wing everyday. I have a 2.5 year old and a 12 months old so it can get crazy with trying to get my work done. We play a lot, the older one loves to color, they do watch some TV and luckily they love to play together, we also read a lot of books. On nicer days we take a walk at lunch time. My blackberry helps too it gives me a little more freedom to step out with the girls. I have a conference call in 15 minutes and I am praying they will both fall asleep for a nap. If that doesn't happen I will set them up in the playroom and I will sit outside the door with the phone. Its really hard some days, I'm sure you can relate. I am so lucky to be able to work from home so that I can be with my girls but at the same time I don't want my work to suffer and have to return to the office 5 days. I feel like I try to work harder so that this perk is not taken away.

I basically do the same things as you.

Our day normally starts around 7:30ish. He gets breakfast - then watches an episode of Baby Einstein and one Backyardigans (while I drink my coffee, check emails, and come on here)

After that he gets a bottle and then will most likely take a nap. If he fights the nap then we just play play play.

At the end of the day it looks like Toys R Us exploded in my house. Books everywhere. Toys everywhere.

We almost always go out every single day unless it's too cold out. Usually to run some sort of errand.

We start a music together class today. Every Wednesday we go to Storytime at Barnes and Noble. On Friday's we have Gymboree. I try to keep him pretty busy to wear him down. Chat Icon
