Waking at night. Re: hungy or just habit?
We seem to have the vomitting issue and reflux issue under control thanks to neocate and some axid but now i am questioning why he is waking.. last night i went in at 1130 and fed him 4 oz which is a lot for him to take at once( i posted yesterday how he sometimes fights to take 3 oz) then at 230 he was up again but only took 1 1/2 oz. The he woke at 4 and only took a 1/2 ounce.
Do you think its just a habit that he is waking? How do i go about weening him form teh 2 am waking?

I wouldnt say either really...
I remember speaking to my pediatrician about newborns sleep patterns when my twins were really small. He told me that the average baby doesnt have the ability to sleep through the night until about 12 weeks. It has something to do with their sleep patterns..Of course there are exceptions to this rule..(My eldest slept through the night at 8 weeks)..Basically they just cant sleep more than say X amount of time..and then little by little they are able to stretch that out. They are going to wake whether they are hungry or not.

Well my DS wakes at night even when he is not hungry But, he is 9mos After a while I could start to tell when it was actually hunger that was keeping him up. Try to see if DC goes back to sleep easily b/f feeding?
