Walk In Doctor Offices
Does anyone know where there's a walk in doctors office in Suffolk? I am in Ronkonkoma.
I have a terrible sore throat. I can't swallow anything and the left side on my neck hurts when I touch it.
I just lost my insurance and won't get my new coverage till Feb 1st. So I am going have to pay out of pocket.
TIA.

I've never been here, but I know there is The Walk-In Medical Center on Ronkonkoma Ave, 588-7007.

Re: Walk In Doctor Offices
do you have a regular dr that you used when you have insurance? I am in the exact same boat as you--- if we're lucky enough to get insurance by 2/1 (still waiting to hear from Dhs freelance union if we're eligible). I would call them and ask to speak w/ the dr. I would ask him for a favor and give him your symptoms and see if he'll call in a z-pack or amoxicillian for you. I just paid $43 at CVS for a zpack w/o insurance.

I know that there is a "cheap" one in patchgogue somewhere. the one I took DH to is in Babylon on Sunrise Highway. It cost $115.00 to see the PA

No I don't have a regular dr. I was seeing one but I didn't like her bedside manner. So I left the practice and never found a new dr because I knew that I was going to lose the insurance anyway and figured I'd wait to find a new one.
I am going to call some of the places that were suggested and hope I can find one that can see me.
Of all the times to get sick.
Thanks ladies.

First Choice on Union Ave in Holbrook. I have been there plenty of time and never had a problem!
