Walking the Brooklyn Bridge
Turning 35 in a 2 weeks (sigh!!) and looking to do something different with my family. I thought about starting on the Manhattan side and walking the bridge to Brooklyn, having lunch and then head back. Any suggestions for places to eat/bakeries, shop, or explore in that area.
Would love to hear feedback from anyone that's done the walk. Thanks!

Walking the Brooklyn Bridge
Grimaldis is right across the Brooklyn Bridge. Never been but people rave about their pizza. Their is usually a long line to get in.

Re: Walking the Brooklyn Bridge
Well you have the Brooklyn Bridge Park right there which is nice and has some lovely views of Manhattan. Right at the foot of the bridge there is the River Cafe but it is expensive from what I've heard. Grimaldis is also right there. Personally, I wouldn't wait on a line for their pizza but if it's not busy, I would definitely check it out. I have not walked that area in a while but I do remember there being a few restaurants/bars and shops in the vicinity.

Yes! Definitely a bunch of spots to eat and shop around there. When I was serving jury duty I used to walk around there all the time.
eta: there is a walkway/path right above the BQE you can walk.
