Walmart swing set v Wood Kingdom
Looking for feedback here. I have the chance to buy a two year old wood kingdom swing set for $350 or a brand new one from Walmart for about $450.
Anyone have either or and can give me feedback please?
TIA

From my research you want a good wood like cedar. The wood you want to stay away from is pine. Pine is cheaper and softer.

Not sure what brand the Walmart one is but we bought one from TRU 2 years ago and the thing is a POS. My SIL works there so we got a great deal. I wish we had spent the extra money and went to Wood Kingdom.

We have a cedar set from Walmart, got it last Summer and it's held up nicely. Love it, and the price.

We purchased a HUGE playset from Walmart.com and we are more than happy. It is awsome. Sometimes when you take apart and rebuild a swingset they don't settle the same.

Re: Walmart swing set v Wood Kingdom
Thanks everyone- I just did a search on the walmart one I am looking at - its $399 plus tax and it shows that there was a recall as the glider part come off and injured some kids - anyone have one that was recalled?

Yup that's the one I have. I never had a problem with the glider and my 10 year old goes on it, but the company sent a repair kit.

Re: Walmart swing set v Wood Kingdom
LAst year when I was shopping for swingsets I noticed that the weight limits were way lower with cheaper walmart and toysrus models. This is a big thing to me, because I have 8 neices and nephews who range all the way up to 13 years old...and yes this weekend the two 13 yr olds and two 11 yr olds were playing together on our swingset. Additionally, when I have parties I never have to worry if too many kids are on the swingset or if an adult decides to go for a swing. With my crowded house these are important considerations, however for others it may not be so important.

We have this one from Walmart. It's almost 2 years old and it's holding up very nicely.
