That is awesome and horribly terrifying at the same time - So that little boy told a complete stranger his 1st and last name, his Mom's name etc.........ALL w/ the Nanny sitting right there ???? -
I want to throw up.
This is why my kids will be in Daycare
Yeah, I am with you on that one. Its a bit disconcerting that the kid wasn't scared of a stranger and actually gave her the Moms name. What ever happened to stranger danger???
My friend had to fire her Nanny of years and years because she found out she was smacking the kid.

Strange thing is that I'm more enraged that this child was able to openly give his name etc to a stranger IN FRONT of this nanny that obviously didn't care enough to realize..that would be my biggest issue, obviously the hitting goes without saying, but that part is the one that really enrages me

wow, good for her taking the situation into her own hands but WOW is that scary.
honestly, if i were the mother, i would be more angry that a total stranger was able to approach my child and gather that information. THOSE would be grounds for dismissal of the nanny over the spanking  
eta - your friend should also be careful. not that i think the mother could press charges or anything but she needs to make sure she doesnt cross any lines. if someone approached my young child and tried to gather personal information, i might consider calling the police. i mean, this mom has your friends name too now!

I agree - that is great your friend did that - but imagine if it was someone without good intentions!!!
With all the nanny stories I hear, I always wanted Cai in a daycare center (not a home) with upper management. It is always good to know there is someone on the top to report to!!!!

WOW.
As Jen said, I think the thing that disturbs me the most is the fact that your friend was able to get all of that personal information with the nanny sitting right there.
UNBELIEVABLE. If she were our nanny, she'd be gone.

wow !! I can't believe how blah the mom is being about this....A perfect stranger went out of their way to find you on facebook & report about a serious concern they had with pics of your kids & all. That nanny should be fired & never allowed to watch children again. But there has to be something wrong with the mother too for not being all that concerned about it.

Honestly, the mom's laid-back attitude about the hitting leads me to believe she has given the nanny permission to spank her children. I mean, it just reads that way.
She should be extremely upset about the information her son gave out.
