wanna tell this docs office to f off!!!!!!!

In waiting room. No one in here has been here waiting less than 2 hours. Its like this everyyyyy time and if I had a good informativr 10 minute meeting with doc I could deal but its usually 3 minutes in and out. I wanna f this place but almost 32w and I feel trapped!!!!!! Just venting. Gahhhhhh. Edited to add appt time 115. Its now 3pm and stillllllll in waiting room!!!!! .... 4pm and now I am leaving .

LOL- my sister was supposed to go just now for an appointment and I told her about tis post. She rescheduled.

The last time I had a doctors appointment I purposely asked them what time they started for the day. "Our first appointment is at 8:30". Managed to get a 9:00. I still sat and waited for almost an hour! How is that even possible?

OMG, I feel the same way! My OB office was great in the beginning...and as of this last month, its been horrible there! The wait time is OK, but the office staff has been seriously sucking. They're super unorganized...and I can never get through to them on the phone! Last week they canceled my appt because the MD was sick....but they never called me!!! So I show up and am waiting outside the dark office for like 15 mins before I decide to call their on call system. Then the on call OB calls me back and tells me that they're closed and they called everyone the night before! HA! I was FUMING! Then, when I called to reschedule,I explained what happened and the receptionist never apologized!!!!!

Blah! I am in the same boat as you. If I wasn't 32 weeks, I'd look for another office!

I went to Eileen before I was pregnant - but once I was I had to call with a question and they kept switching me to different people and put me on hold for 50 minutes ebfore i can finally ask the question to someone, not to mention how rude the office was. Then my first appt I waited over 3 hours and still wasn't taken in yet, then DH and I just left. I knew I would not be able to handle that throughout my pregnancy! And what if I had to call with an emergency? I'd be put on hold for another 50 minutes? No thanks! Then I switched Drs and currently LOVE my OB, the wait has never been more than 15 minutes.

Sounds just like my office. There have only been 1or 2 appts when I had to wait less than an hour (meaning like 45 mins- they should win an award). I can understand that things happen and people need to come in for emergencies but the fact that I wait like an hour and a half for almost all of my appts is ridiculous.

I usually have a 12:45 appointment and get out at 2:30-3. I am on my third pregnancy so i am used to it. I just bring snacks and toys for my daughter and we use it as mommy daughter time. Last time they tricked me. I was brought in after only 30 minutes in the waiting room but waited another hour in the exam room. Luckily I am far enough along that it's abdominal scans now. It was hard enough explaining why mommy pees in a cup never mind why mommy is naked from the waist down. I have always found Mondays to be the worst since they fit in all the patients that had issues over the weekend. Tuesday and Thursday are usually quicker wait times as long as your apt is before 2:30.

Waits like that is why I switched Drs at 20 weeks during my pregnancy.

there was a popular dr on this board, every wait over 1hr, even for the nurses.......
When I was in the middle of a m/c and they still had me waiting over an hour - even after I puked in the waiting room waste can, and I saw some other girls come in after me and get taken, that was it for me even before I saw how unsympathic the dr was to the mc -

Switched to a guy dr and have been SOOOO HAPPY. Maybe you need to switch.

Which OB's are you guys using where you have to wait so long so I could avoid them once I conceive?? During my last pregnancy in and out within a half hour.

This pregnancy has made me not like my doctor either.... When baby #2 comes around, I will be switching... I also am hating the docs that think they are funny and making jokes.... They put me on medicine for GD and when my husband asked if there was any risk to the baby, the doctor made a joke and said, "oh just 3 eyes, and 10 arms....blah blah blah" We weren't really in a joking mood when told I needed to be put on meds. These things are routine for the doctors, but so many of them don't realize how new and scary things are to us pregnant ladies!
