Ok, this may get moved but part of it is kid related.

Today I spoke to a client from the past. She was always one of my favorites. I had assumed that she heard I had Dylan because she recommended a friend of hers to me and I was working on her friend's case when I was pregnant and then spoke to her friend around Christmas time. She called today with questions and to say she is recommending another friend (the best kind of business!!). Well, she had no idea I had a baby and when I told her, she was jumping up and down and so excited. She wanted to know all about Dylan. I definitely wish I had called her to tell her or sent an announcement!!!

Then I spoke to a former co-worker. Now, I do not love ALL former co-workers and I did not expect this co-worker to tell me who has been asking about me and that they miss me. We shared some of our old jokes and that was fun.

Go--call someone you haven't called in a while. If you had a baby and there is someone you were not sure about notifying, go ahead and do it, it feels great.


Then, I do not often make house calls in my line of work but in the past month I had to go to see clients in 2 different nursing homes. I am very sad about the conditions in one of the homes but there were tons of patients hanging out in the hallways and I got a big fat hello out of almost every one of them. There were tons of toothless men who were not too self conscious about that to give me huge smiles and tell me I'm a pretty lady. There was even a WOMAN in a wheel chair saying, "wow, she is pretty, who is she?" All I did was walk down a hallway!!! Me, overweight, tired, me!!! I know, many patients are lonely and some cannot see but all I remember is that 20 people at once were admiring me!!!! And, I remember their horrid conditions but I can still feel good that I made them smile.

I am still super stressed and things with DH and his injury could be better but I feel pretty, oh so pretty!!!
