Want to buy DH a snow blower for christmas -help
advice or recommendations? What type? Electric or Gas? How much do I need to spend-they look awfully expensive but I'm not sure how much I need to invest to get a decent one. Please help. TIA!

Since we don't have sidewalks on our street, DH really only has to do our double driveway, so I got him an electric one. It's made by Toro and works really well.
This year, my brothers and sisters are chipping in and getting my dad a gas snowblower. I think we are getting it from Sears. We are getting them a gas one because they live on a corner property and have lots of sidewalks and a yard to do.
This is the one we are getting my dad. LINK

I don't like being out in the cold any more than I have to. If DH has a truck, he could get a plow. This is what I have. SnowSport plow It takes 5 minutes to put it on (I put it on the night before a snow, if it's forecast), then in the morning, I remote start the truck. By the time I get dressed and out to the truck, it's nice and toasty. I drive around the driveway for a few minutes, and I'm all done. No frozen hands or feet, I get the heat on full-blast, I can have the radio on. I actually like a big snowfall!
Trucks are fun. It's like being a little kid, but with bigger toys.... :)

This is the one I'm considering for my DH. It's been $599 a few times this season, too.
