Warm Weather Vacation in June for DH & I - Need Recs!!
Looking to book a 5 night trip in the middle of June. Just DH and I, and while we love walking on the beach, we are totally happy to sit by the pool too. The thing we loved best about our last trip (to Mexico) was the reserved Palapa Hut every day, so no waking up too early to go save a seat!
Someone suggested Bermuda, the Fairmont Southampton. Does anyone have any thoughts on this hotel? Or Bermuda in general?
Does anyone have any other suggestions??

We stayed here a few years back and totally loved it....you are near shopping and restaurants. You should definitely rent the scooters and travel around the island what fun that was. Bermuda is amazing!

We stayed here 2 years ago over the summer - some thoughts:
-- it rained 3 days we were there (summer time = possibility of rain)
--the property is very nice but not on the beach - you have to take a trolly down the hill and up the route (a short route) to the beach
-- I remember the food at the hotel being good
--if you want to go to restaurants at night you have to take the ferry to the sister property (i think it is called the princess) and walk from there. the first few nights it was an adventure but after that it became annoying to have to live by the schedule or find your own way back to the southhampton (via taxi it is a FAR drive)

You guys should look into either:
Sandals Antigua (very romantic)
or
The new Sandals in the Bahamas -- it used to be the Four Seasons Hotel and they took it over and totally re-vamped it. But it is a gorgeous location. EVERY room here, no matter which you book, comes with the butler service.
DEFINITELY something to treat yourselves to!

They are the first two on the list -- St. John, Antigua AND Emerald Bay which is the new one in the Bahamas!

I havent had a lot of luck with good weather when we've gone away in June. We've been to Bermuda, Barbados and Punta Cana DR in June and the weather wasnt great for any of them.
