warning: always double check your meds!!
I went to the dentist for a TERRIBLE canker sore. He prescribed me something to use on it. I asked him if it was ok to use if I am trying to get pregnant and he said it was fine...... (I figured as much since it's just some prescription topical stuff for a mouth sore...)
Well, I went home and googled it just to be sure and it specifically says that women trying to get pregnant OR who are pregnant, should NOT use that medication!!!!!!!!
So.... this just goes to show, no matter how minor you think the medication may be, ALWAYS DOUBLE CHECK!! Even if your doctor says it will be fine!!!

Well basically when I google it, every page that pops up says you shouldn't take it if you're trying to get pregnant.
It apparently is a category c drug and loaded with steroids.

I think it is great that you took matters into your own hands to make sure what you were putting into your body was safe right now. Even if your obgyn did say it was okay to take it, would you still want to anyways, with all of the warnings that you are finding on line?? I probably would still not want to take it, just to be on the safe side.

Yea thanks, I agree. All those warnings via the power of google really raised some red flags!!!!!!
I always double check these things just to be sure..... Imagine what I'll be like when I really AM pregnant!
