Was anyone else a raging b*otch before moving?
No idea what has gotten into me! I am usually very happy, but lately I have been a raging lunatic. I have no time for anything, let alone packing!
I feel stressed beyond my means, with closing soon, moving in, having to deal with the new people moving into where I living now, etc. Luckily, I have a great team of professionals, between my lawyer and the mortgage people, who have made things a dream, but it's this other stuff that has me pulling my hair out!
I have been very short with family and my DH, who just don't get that I want a smooth transition. It's also been a biotch to get off of work for the closing and move.
I'm sure others have been there, so any tips?

Re: Was anyone else a raging b*otch before moving?
Raises hand... I'm usually calm and controlled in stressful situations, I actually find I work my best under them, but the whole process su cked for us from start to finish and the sellers were just horrible, dates were always unknown, lies were thrown in to the mix. I seriously felt like I just didn't even want to move anymore. But, as soon as its over, life goes back to normal, or even better, so its all worth it
I tried to just take a break from everything when I felt it was too much, but sometimes that's hard because they need stuff from you ASAP, or you have little time. I really tried to set my personal life to the side as much as possible but that made me even more miserable, so I'd say don't do that! Just keep telling yourself, its almost done! its sooooo worth it in the end!! And just like giving birth, I'm ready to do it all over again one day. maybe sooner then I thought

i found drinking lots of wine helped.. at the end of the day, packing, unpacking, cleaning, etc. just 1 glass takes the edge off and relaxed me hang in there and good luck!

Me!
I was so super stressed before the move. I'm not sure how a happy time can feel so miserable, but it did!
In fact, the experience made me never ever want to move again. I might just have to stay in this house forever.

Re: Was anyone else a raging b*otch before moving?
I was very stressed before the move too. I totally agree with anyone that says moving is one of the most stressful times in someone's life. I didnt realize how much stuff we actually had till we started packing. If you work and get home late you are in no mood to pack so you leave it for the weekend and then before you know it you get a closing date. Just remember there is a light at the end of the tunnel (however I told DH we are never moving again) LOL
