Was I the only one who saw Madonna on the TODAY show today?
I swear to god if I were the producer I would have fired Meredith on the spot. She had NO idea how to ask her questions. It made ME uncomfortable.
Finally, they brought Madonna outside (for what I don't know) and when they said they would be right back with her after the commercial, she was gone.

I saw it and it was the most painful thing I ever heard. Meredith really blew it big time. Madonna was not very responsive to begin with but yikes !!!!

I saw it, but only caught the tail end. I love the Today show, but I can't stand Meredith... she's trying to fulfill that cherry-ness that Katie had and she's just coming off as obnoxious... Oh well, they'll always have Matt and Al thank God!

I just watched it online. Yea, Meredith really was horrible. She sounded nervous & awkward. Her questions didn't flow. It was weird.

Clearly, Madonna did not want to be there... Maybe that made Meredith nervous and that's why the interview was not so good? I think it takes both parties to make a good interview.

In Meredith's defense, Madonna is not an easy interview...she doesn't offer much and it's like pulling teeth to get her to talk. I guess she disappeared so quick because she was on Regis and Kelly like a half hour later.

I watched part of it on the link, and I just find Madonna to be a boring interview, no matter who interviews her. I don't know if she is too full of herself or is overly cautious about what she says because of past experiences, but I just don't find her interviews lately interesting at all. In the early days, she was a lot more fun to watch.
I do like Meredith and I do think she knows how to do a good interview. When I was watching this morning, I had to leave just as Madonna arrived and they all seemed frazzled because she was so late, they thought she was going to be a no show.

meredith was kinda an a-hole to her. her quips about being tardy and all the rest was pretty rude. i was impressed Madonna was as nice as she was.
