Was ready to throw my phone- A Kelly Story
Background: We all got sick this week. DS started with pink eye, then got a bad cold, now has an ear infection. He had surgery a few weeks ago and was treated extremely rough by the nurses in the hospital. He is scared to death of medication in all forms now. I have a cold and DH has the 'man cold'. 
After bringing DS to his upteenth doctor appt yesterday, the dr said his ear was bad and he needed an antibiotic. Since DS spit out his antibiotic after surgery (every time), I begged for another way to give him his meds. Dr called all around the area to find a pharmacy that had the shots. She found one! (God Bless her!)
I head off to the pharmacy with DS limp in the carseat. I get lost. Directions weren't right. After a while, I find it and drag DS out and he was slumped over my shoulder. Although pharmacy had the rx called in, they didn't begin processing because they didn't have my insurance info. Ok, whatever. So we wait. DS is moaning and burning up in my arms. I beg for them to hurry because the office had to administer the shot and they were closing in 30 minutes.
You all know how hard things are with a sick child slumped in your arms. Geesh it is tough as they get older too. I finally get the medicine and run to the car. The pediatrician office closes in 2 minutes! I called to say I am on my way. Phones turned off and goes immediately to emergency line. You are damn skippy that I said it was an emergency. They got hold of the doctor and she said she would wait for us. Thank God for her again!
Then my gas light went on.  
I am having a panic attack. I am beginning to cry as I watch DS barely coherent in my rear view mirror. Then it happened.......... my phone goes off.........it is DH........... he is dying at home as his fever is going up.
What was his temp you ask? 99.3.
I truly didn't even know what to say at that point. If he was in front of me, I may have killed him. Flucking man cold!!!!!

I have no words about the man cold. Don't you just want to shoot them sometimes to put them (and us) out of misery?
I do hope your little one is feeling better though & that he responds quickly to the meds.

omg I would have wanted to kill DH!!! Man cold....worst ailment to have fallen upon us since leprosy 
I hope your DS gets better, seeing him like that must have been so scary and stressful for you

We are heading out for his last shot at the dr now. I pray this is it.

I'm glad your little guy was able to get to the doctor in time! Hope he starts feeling better soon
