Washing Baby Clothes
I just got a ton of baby clothes for my shower There are some outfits that are newborn size, and right now, from my growth sonograms, this baby is measuring quite big (I know they could be off on the measurements, though). I'm not sure if I should wash these outfits yet in the event the baby is too big for them. What would you do?
Also, do you wash blankets, crib sheets, etc., too?

Re: Washing Baby Clothes
Anything your keeping I would wash. If your not sure how big the baby will be I would hold off on washing them all. Maybe a few, for the beginning and if you ned them you can wash the rest or exchange them for bigger sizes. You have to remember that sono's can be off by 1 pound either way.

Re: Washing Baby Clothes
I washed everything---still do. Really anything that will be against the baby's skin, I washed.
My first batch of clothing I washed everything 0-6 months.

Re: Washing Baby Clothes
DS was 9 lbs at birth and he actually wore newborn size for the first 10 days or so. The 0-3 months were swimming on him.
I would have some newborn size washed and on hand. If you have a lot of newborn size, you might want to return some.
