Washing baby stuff
What should I be washing before DD wears it? So far I have sheets, clothes, blankets, and socks. But what about bibs? the bumper? hats? burp cloths? What else am I missing? I feel like I will be washing clothes for the next 5 weeks and I am only doing newborn and some 0-3!!!

If it came in contact with her skin.... I washed it! Right down to her little headbands.....

Re: Washing baby stuff
With DS I washed everything. With expected DS I rewashed everything again - even though I know that I already washed it. I also switched my regular detergent to All Free and Clear (for the family) just in case anything of his gets mixed in.
I also washed the bedding. Be ver careful with bumpers, I recently washed DS's bumper and now it's ruined.

That's what I am afraid of. I think I might skip it for now especially given how much money I spent on the thing

I'm debating this too! I plan to wash everything (clothes, sheets, hats, blankets, bundle me, bottles, pacifiers, etc.), but I still don't know about the bumper. I need more input!

Re: Washing baby stuff
I washed everything. Bibs, socks, clothes, hats, blankets. Boiled all nipples & passies. (Read the instructions some can & some cant be boiled).
When my friend had her twins we went crazy and I made her wash the car seat, swing cover etc. I didn't go that far w/ mine but I did vacuum the chair in her room because it had warehouse dust all over it.
Also, toys! It dawned on me that people & kids are always picking them up in stores and putting them back.
ETA: I didn't wash my bumper but you could use a wipe to wash it down & vacuum it.

Re: Washing baby stuff
I washed my bumper, and had no issues. What problems have you ladies had?

Re: Washing baby stuff
wash everything. The clothes are treated so that bugs do not get them during shipping!
Anything fabric that touches your DCs skin that is not custom made should be washed.
