Washing bottles in hotel room in vacation.

We are staying over 2 nights. That's 20 bottles plus 4 for the day we come home. Is it gross to wash them at the hotel? I have a whole system at home and the hotel sink is small.

I was thinking of rincing them and buying a few packs of cheapy bottles to use. (More crap to pack)

I'm just now realizing how much more work it will be to pack them up for 3 days lol

Washing bottles in hotel room in vacation.

I just brought a bottle of Dawn with me and a bottle brush and washed them in the hotel sink. I laid them on tissues to air dry. Totally annoying, but there was no way I was packing extra bottles!

I buy the RTF 8oz bottles when we go away so I don't have to wash them.

This is what I've done with my pump pieces when I travel. I've also asked to have access to the hotel's kitchen microwave so I can steam them using the Steam Bags they sell at BRU.
Bring a roll of paper towels with you so you don't get tissue/toilet paper stuck in the bottles and on the nipples. I just made sure to cover everything with a hand towel or a paper towel if I'm letting things dry in the bathroom -- that's the part that skeeved me out the most.

I always bring a package of clorox wipes with me and wipe down the entire sink area. Then I lay out paper towels as a drying area. I bring a small bottle of dish soap, a bottle brush, and a sponge. You can definitely do it!

I just bring my own soap and sponge. It's not that big of a deal, though it's a little annoying to still have to do "chores" while on vacation Chat Icon

I only had a few bottles to wash on our last trip (I BF) but I bought a bottle of Dawn with me and my bottle brush. The hotel had a kitchenette so i ran the water until it was very hot and washed the bottles and pump parts.

Re: Washing bottles in hotel room in vacation.

traveled many times now with DD and what I do is I bring a big oxo mixing bowl from home that i fill with soapy water so that my bottles are not in a hotel sink. I bought at target for like $9 a collapsible bottle drying rack that I pack for traveling and then i just bring a bottle brush.

I don't buy or bring extra bottles, I just wash them in the sink with the soap and brush I bring from home.

I just came back from vacation with my 4 1/2 month old. I bought this travel bottle brush case from Amazon and brought a small bottle of Dawn dish detergent with me.

I agree with what everyone else said. In addition I bring some dish towels and/or paper towels for extra drying space.

I ended up washing them in the hotel when I went... I brought a square bucket which I stacked the bottles in... at the end of the day I filled that up with hot water, scrubbed with bottle brush, then ran it under hot water to rinse off, and let air dry to the side.

Re: Washing bottles in hotel room in vacation.

We just went away for a week and this was a life saver. It gave us a clean place to dry the bottles and packed easily, just also brought a travel sized container of dish soap.
